Jesus gave these blessings as part of the Sermon on the Mount, which can be found in Matthew 5.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they have the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are those who are meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are those who are merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Blessed are those who have pure hearts, for they will see God.
Blessed are those who make peace, for they will be called the children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for doing what is right, for they will have the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil and false things about you because of Me. Rejoice! Be glad! Your reward will be great in heaven. That is how they persecuted the prophets who lived before you.
